No tools required for assembly. This is my third tower fan, but without the ionizer and the already small slider that can adjust the airflow up or down. This shoots air straight and rotates at the push of a button. It has a timer with many hours to choose from. I personally think it's quiet enough to run and sleep at high speed. It has a remote control that can be hung on the back. I have 1 of the 2 hottest rooms in the house and it works great. The only negative I see is that I wish they were quieter.
