Give it a few inches and then cut it off. Insert T-valve. Connect the tubing to the other end of the T-valve. Give it a few inches and cut it off. Install a check valve (most check valves are labeled inside and out. Make sure the pump side faces the tank and the side faces the pump). Connect the remaining hose to the other end of the check valve. See how many hoses you need to attach the hose to the stone or aerator while having the stone/aerator where you want it in your tank.
