These handles help when you are having trouble pulling the seat belt through your body. I installed them under the slide buckle and over the slide stop. The latch on the passenger side wasn't big enough to keep the gripper from falling off, so I attached a 1-1/4 inch clip to it to hold it in place. When I wear the belt, the gripper rests on my lap. but it's soft and flexible, so it doesn't pose a problem.
