I like stainless steel parts because they don't rust. I use 3 of these to attach a large diameter suction tube to my leaf blower fan housing. The original plastic pins in the tube are worn and very wobbly which can cause the tube to leak where it attaches to the fan housing. Now I can securely attach the tube to the fan housing with stainless steel rivet fasteners without worrying about them wearing out. The tube lost suction at the fan housing mount due to wear on the plastic pins on the tube. The new latches allow me to easily switch between suction and blow modes by simply undoing the latches and removing the tube from the fan housing.
