I removed/replaced myself as I am a retired HD mechanic. On both sides of the foremost stud, the existing nuts had to be reused. The nuts they sent were only one full thread. The thread on the old nut is about 2.5-3 but it works fine. Just trying to get hold of a nut triggers obscenities! The cable socket on one of them wasn't fully screwed in on one side causing it to be crooked and preventing entry, but that was an easy fix. Once installed they look great and the power options work well.
