I have hot-swap bays on my PC and keep swappable and swappable disks around depending on what files I need. I needed anti-static zippered bags to keep them inside and they work really well. Losing a drive can make a world of difference if you don't have backups, so storing them in anti-static bags is definitely a good idea. Use them and protect your data if you have spare 3.5 drives. Even if it's an old drive, just keep it on hand as a spare. You will protect him well. And best of all, they don't have open ends like the packs that most CDs are sold in.
