I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and an older HP PSC 500 with a DIY computer. The other mobo failed and the new one didn't have a parallel port. I love this HP printer and really didn't want to replace it. Parallel USB adapters will not work with this particular HP. And Win 7 doesn't recognize the HP PSC 500's ability to scan either, but that has nothing to do with this card. I put the card in the new motherboard, booted it up and downloaded and automatically installed all the drivers. An offline printer error occurred on the first attempt to print. Went to Devices and Printers, manually uninstalled the printer, manually added it back and changed it to LPT3, which according to device manager was a PCI card, and printed a test page. Hooray! It works out! Thanks to previous reviewers. You helped me so hopefully this review will help someone else.
