I hate sanding but love woodworking. Most of the time I can tolerate sanding flat parts and some simple curves with the occasional random orbit sander or belt/spindle sander, but all too often there are odd curves and shapes that need sanding and shaping. These foam grinders are ideal for special occasions. There are enough different shapes in 6 parts to get everything you need. The density of the foam seems to be just right and they are actually quite comfortable in the hand. I've been using them for the past week or so on both concave and convex curves, plus they're great for softening sharp edges very quickly. Self-adhesive sandpaper is included in the package but I expect it to be expensive. I had several large rolls of 120 and 220 grit paper (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JGB6DB1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that work very well with these pads. I still hate loops, but at least it's a little more bearable.
