We have been renovating our house for several years, so we have a lot of paint and stains. I bought these cans for a few hundred dollars (in all sizes from gallons to pints) thinking they would be the answer to years of extra paint in my closet in metal cans that can rust. I was impressed by all the positive reviews. But boy was I wrong! After a short time, these banks narrowed, warped and formed dents (concave dents), which led to the loosening of the seal. The can of paint I opened today had a two inch stain on the top of the can and the stain was so dry it was almost useless. I've added some turpentine and see if the stain gets younger. This happens with all oil paints, stains and varnishes. DO NOT BUY unless you only want them for latex paint. They are beyond useless for any oil based product.
