Excellent measuring and marking tool
Having used many other manufacturers' squares, I have found that the Starrett Combo Square beats the competition in every way. And by that I don't just mean accuracy and reliability, but also durability and ease of use. As with other brands, the handle is spring loaded in each of the components. But it works best in Starrett: it's very easy to change blades. All you have to do is twist it half a turn and then squeeze to gently remove the blade or move it to a new position. It's a pleasure to use. I can unreservedly recommend this item. It's expensive but worth every penny.
