I was afraid they would be too bright. They're capable of lighting up an entire room (even with my gray walls) but aren't overwhelming at all. I routed the cables through my walls and plugged them into my smart hub one at a time. I like this new addition very much. Another quick mention: I was a bit clumsy with my tools during installation and hit the same lamp twice when I dropped my tools on the bed. Holds up well, no scratches. So far it seems to be a decent product.
