The monitor has an excellent price-performance ratio. It has a slim profile, VESA mount, integrated speakers, full 4K UHD resolution, and a panel with good viewing angles. The stand is plastic but feels solid. Lighting is, but very minimal. The speakers aren't great, but they're loud enough when you're watching a movie 6-8 feet away. I used a straight USB Type-C to DisplayPort cable and the results were good on the 2018 MBP. I haven't tried playing games so can't comment on playability. However, I never managed to get the monitor to work at 4K @ 60Hz via HDMI. This is only possible via DisplayPort. Contacted Philips support and the advice didn't help either. They asked me to just return the monitor if it wasn't running at full 4k@60Hz. I'm not sure if this limitation applies to all Philips monitors or if I just received a low quality copy. Also, I once noticed flickering on the monitor during use when using a dark text editor background. It healed on its own in a few seconds. But I didn't expect that from a brand new monitor.
