Is my Surface overheating?

As you can see in the photo, the charger is connected because the indicator light is on. My laptop is overheating and won't charge. I used this replacement service but it won't arrive for another 2 days which will affect work and school (today I had a paper that I can't send because the charger decided to reject me). Honestly the worst product I've ever bought from Revain.
