So far my kids love their lights. I suppose my only question is how long will they last on my kids bikes before breaking - they're rough on their toys. I bought a multicolored set (two skeins) and put one skein on the rear wheel of each of my daughter's bikes. The strands are a bit longer for my daughter's 24" bike, but I didn't want to cut the strand so they overlap a bit. I wired the lights through the spokes along the outside edge (against the back of the rim) using the included zip ties to hold them in place if needed. The lightweight backpack itself sits nicely on the spokes (opposite side of the chain) and is easily turned on or off by pressing a very small button. My other daughter has an 18 inch bike. The strands are quite long, but I wound them in a spiral from the center of the wheel to the outer edge, using the entire length of the strand. I actually like that it looks a little better when the wheels are spinning. The only problem I had with the 18 inch bike was attaching the battery to the spokes. It wouldn't work as shown in the instructions because there wasn't enough clearance (due to some sort of support brace) for the battery to fully rotate. However, I was able to place the backpack between two layers of spokes and thus secure it. A little tricky to turn on and off, but not critical. In the attached photos you can see the spacer (circled in red) that gets in the way and how I mounted the battery in the middle of the spokes instead of the outside. The girls had a great time turning on the lights at dusk. and biking through parks and campgrounds. The lights attract quite a bit of attention and have often been asked where they found them. Now that I've seen how well they work, how bright they are, I'll probably order another set so they can light up both wheels front and back.
