Many people mention a clatter at work. Therefore, there is a clatter while connecting to a standard stationary computer's front-facing USB ports, and the computer misses it. However, when linked to the rear ports, it operates steadily and the computer notices it. Most likely, there is not enough current, which causes the problem; as a result, it clicks. I'm not a techie, so this is just my opinion.
