Followed the instructions and after the initial heat clean proved easy to use, safe, very smoky, made outdoors. Gets as hot or even hotter than a charcoal grill. Very nice grill lines on salmon in just a few minutes at medium temperature. Didn't install a fire alarm. After that, the smell of the grill lingers in the room, which is to be expected. It irritated my eyes a little, so I recommend opening a window. Overall excellent build quality, excellent value for money.
