The pump was well packed and arrived safely. First surprise was the motor rating printed on the label: 23 amps of current! I checked the fuse in the power plug and it was 15 amp, same as the supplied spare, and again a surprise as it doesn't appear it is adequate for a 23 amp draw. The manual claims that there will be no issue to operate the pump off a 15A standard power port in the car---not likely since my Toyota ports equate to 10 amps maximum. It would be impractical for my wife or I to connect directly to the car battery, and it is probable that the fuse in the plug or my car power port would blow. Not worth the risk on the side of a road. I returned the pump.
