I am new to cycling and bought these with handlebar tips for added comfort. It was great to have those comfortable handles, the soapy water method of sliding over them worked like a charm. For the end of the pole I attached one of the long foam sponges, cut off about half of it and used the other half for the other side. It's definitely a good idea to wait until the grips are dry and then you're good to go. I actually have a second tube to replace the first set when needed! This is a great purchase that will make your journey more comfortable.
