I am buying Vibram for the first time. I usually wear a size 9 or 9.5 so I bought a size 9-9.5. It took some training to fit into my shoes and it's still not easy, but I agree. What worries me is that my thumb is too tight I think. As if he were pressing the face of the Vibram. All other fingers are fine. I could return this and get a size up but I wore it outside for about 5 minutes so I'm worried if I can return it now. Just be aware that if you have a big toe, you may need to buy half a size larger. I've never been worse than a size 10 in my entire life (as far as I can remember) but I think I should have ordered a size 9.5-10 for myself. Now I'm embarrassed to return them because I've been wearing them outside for about 5 minutes but if I let them I'm afraid my big toe will choke. For a $90 product, that's pretty stressful. I found the "Fits well, order normal size" instructions a bit misleading.
