This spinner has multiple functions including direction, speed and several other options. I needed this as I have a large collection of watches that I currently keep in watch boxes for 24 hours each. Since I have so many watches, the total weight of the watches and watch boxes is around 50 pounds. This model can carry 110 pounds. I am planning to move the watch to a watch display case that can hold 60 watches. Since the display case rotates by hand, I have to put the watch display case on a rotating stand. It is very quiet and comes with a remote control. It keeps all my watches wound, except for my skeleton watches, which probably need a real watch display that rotates to simulate the watch being wound. Overall I'm glad I spent the extra money on a higher quality turntable. This design winds my watch and if I can get a hand operated rotating display case I can display my favorite automatic watch and keep it running. The design of the rotating display stand prevents the cable from twisting around the rotating display stand and should do the same when I get the display case tomorrow. I thought there was no point in having a collection of watches if you couldn't display them and wind them up at the same time. I researched the rotating stands and this one had the largest platform and flexibility. Having over 100 clocks in my collection I purchased two spinning coasters which seem to do a great job of winding skeleton clocks and showing accurate time.
