Mode 1 is very bright (good); Mode 2 slowly cycles through different colors (nice); but when you plug it in and play music, slow, warm transitions give way to a flickering frenzy of flashes and color changes - very annoying. I hope there is a way to "ignore" the music as mode 2 (when no music is playing) is preferred. Mode 3 (a solid color that you can choose) is also suitable. however, requires toggling the light switch multiple times to get what you want. Maybe I'll just send this one back and try another one. ouch . and the speaker volume is "good" but not great.
