I think a lot of people get this for their port cargo when the hose eventually rips/bursts. It does the job but is still just a patch to get a new tube. After installing this, my hose broke right above the hose again. I have a feeling it will probably continue like this. I ended up just replacing the hose on the reel with better quality hose. Problem *permanently* solved. So while this item does what it's supposed to do and does well, your weak link is the hose itself when you put it on a hose with an HF hose reel. If you're trying to fix another hose or modify a hose, this item really does what it's supposed to do very well.
