This is an excellent all-round tool. Most of the other hand chisels I looked at had bad handguard ratings. This handguard works great and feels great. It will move down a bit if you miss and hit the guard, but it will come right back and work like a champion. I've been using this for a while now and it works without any problems. Great tool and great seller. hp The one I received smelled like chemicals. It wasn't too bad for me, but everyone is different and your experience will be different. BUT the seller contacted me and asked if it smelled and when I said yes. I received a full refund without asking. I believe the smell probably started some time after the seller shipped the item and other reviews said nothing, so the smell is probably temporary.
