I am an advanced amateur photographer and bought this monitor to implement the 10-bit AdobeRBG workflow for artistic quality photo printing on the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000. This is a solid device, the stand is very heavy and well constructed. I like the handle that is built into the stand. The packaging was very good: I wouldn't worry about damage in transit. The panel itself is made of ordinary plastic, but it has a high-quality look and feel. Overall, the performance of the panel is excellent. I'm getting a verified 10-bit workflow in Photoshop via an Nvidia Quadro P2000. I love the puck! Now he can't live without him. Switching color spaces with the press of a button next to the keyboard is a really nice touch. The puck itself is quite well made. The buttons feel good and the display is responsive. The monitor's menus compare fairly well to the Dells I've used for the past two decades. This panel blew my Dell u2718q 27" 4k monitor. They are mounted side by side and Dell looks like dog puke compared to BENQ but they are not the same class are they? That's where the good and the not so good end starts, just stupid: - A stuck blue pixel on this panel It's a thousand dollar monitor aimed at color perfectionists so it's being sent back to Amazon for replacement - There's some noticeable bleeding around the edges Not bad but not great either. The monitor comes with a DVI to mini DVI cable. However, all high end Nvidia Quadro cards have full size DVI connectors, not mini connectors. On the monitor is located a DVI jack so the cable that came with it is useless if you bought a Quadro P1000 or higher So I had to buy a new DVI-DVI cable and lost a night's work - The driver CD that came with the monitor does not contain Pale data management software. just upload it? no BENQ crashed last night so I couldn't load the palette master software to check the calibration and lost another night of work. It's a backup today so I was able to download it. - I noticed a newer monitor driver from 02.05.2018. The one installed is dated 5/5/2017, so obviously I wanted to upgrade. I downloaded the file and noticed that it was packed in RAR format. Well kids I'm a big nerd but my rare days are over. Luckily my little brother is still a big nerd and unzipped it for me so I didn't have to download a suspicious unzipper. I install the driver and you know what? It is exactly the same as the existing one on 5/5/2017. It is listed incorrectly on the BENQ website. I open INF very, very confident. This is version 1.0.0.0. So 15 minutes was tired of never coming back. Thanks BENQ for wasting my time. - In general, BENQ website works fine if you live in 1994. It is hosted in Taiwan. RTT per site is over 200ms. I suspect BENQ sells some items in the US, so it might be a good idea to post a copy of the page here. That, and only hire a native English speaker to review your copy. Thanks. - This calibration report. Yes there is, but you need an electron microscope to read it. The problem is that they have enough content to fill an 8.5 x 14 sheet of paper, but they decide to print it on 8.5 x 11. Summary It's good that BENQ knows how to make monitors because they're good at nothing else. Wait, they sent me a hanging pixel. To put it another way, they're pretty good at making monitors that look great except for a pixel or two and some bleeding, and they're not very good at a lot of other things. At BENQ, it's death by a thousand cuts. For the price I still give a buy recommendation, but hardly. My advice is to buy this item from Amazon so you can return it for any reason. BENQ dead pixel policy does not apply to my situation. BENQ should hire some Apple executives and implement 4% of what Apple is doing in terms of fit/finish/polish which would make BENQ 400% better than it is now which means they seem very immature as a company right now. .
