We live in Miami and have traveled to Tennessee. The temperature was 40 degrees and we felt nice and warm without needing layers. We wore t-shirts underneath and the girls never complained about the cold. I love that you can unzip the hoodie as during our hikes my eldest daughter complained that the hoodie got in the way.
