Works very well, but needs improvement.
It works great, but a dimmer is not a necessary feature and the glass shade needs to be two to three inches taller to hide glare from the lamp below. This short shade limits the lamp to being placed only on a table or countertop and does not allow it to be placed on a raised platform where glare can cause visual discomfort. I was forced to use plain strips of white cardboard placed under the shadow to disperse distracting highlights.
