Secondary school boys. They have to look cool and be able to move or else they won't wear it. This works for both. My boy tends to be short-tempered. So if you put on too much mass he just sweats as soon as he moves, so I think it's good for him. Omni Heat like Columbia with foil printed liners would be too warm. We live where it's below freezing for several weeks every winter. Got a size bigger than I thought he would need so hopefully he can wear it for 2 years. One of my other sons has an Under Armor jacket with sweatshirt sleeves. I think it was a little bit smaller than this coat. It was size XL and I got this for my youngest son who is a size L and in length it was what I expected but I think there is a little more room inside for sweatshirt layers than in another jacket that is better suitable is. I'm not sure how durable it will be, for now that's my only concern. This is not a ski jacket that can take a lot of beating. The material on the outside is thinner than a ski jacket, but middle schoolers don't go to recess every day and play in the snow like elementary school students. He likes it and he is happy.
