Review on Eiechip DC to DC Step Up Boost Converter Pack of 10 - MT3608 with Micro USB, DC Voltage Regulator - Boost Module for 2V-24V to 5V-28V 2A Power Supply by Eric Teshome

Quickly tested all 10. I did all tests with 5V input and 12V output. Uses an oscilloscope to test the output. First into a 165 ohm load, about 73 mA. Everything worked fine with about 40mV switching noise at 1.2MHz. I randomly picked one to test further. With a 20 ohm load for 600 mA, the device would sometimes shut down for a split second. The chip feels very hot. Although the datasheet says 600mA and 12V is acceptable. This at a high level. I switched to a 30 ohm load for 400mA and all is well. The chip feels hot. The datasheet goes up to 800mA for a 12V output so the product description is misleading when it says 2A. Probably the highest output current is the curve from the datasheet showing 13V input and 18V output - it is 1.7 A. For 400 mA there was a lot of ripple volts in the output. Adding a 10uF capacitor at the output solved this problem. So overall they seem good, but probably stay below the average power output range for the best results.
