Let me start by saying this is a great product for the price. He does exactly what he says and did it well. It has settings that protect AGM batteries (most important for me). There is only one issue that needs to be addressed, just like yesterday: this unit comes with a battery harness, which I usually like as I don't have to take the bike apart to charge the battery regularly. The problem with the wiring harness - the hot side is not melted! if the wire shorts to the bike frame, the battery will ignite. Also, the protective cap doesn't have a latch, so it just pops out, which isn't secure either, but the connector itself is pretty well protected. The picture above shows the lack of a rib for the lid to snap into place and also shows the built in fuse from my old setup which I will include in this one. Every other system I've used had this simple precaution. It doesn't matter to me as I can buy a built in fuse socket and modify the cable, but I didn't have to do that and if you don't want to make those upgrades I wouldn't look around. All in all I would give this device a 6 if I could.
