I needed an air purifier that could handle a large area because my kitchen, kitchen area, dining room and living room are all open plan. I suffer from allergies. I chose this device after comparing it to other devices on Revain. I'm glad I bought this one. I unpacked the unit, removed the plastic from the filter, put the filter back in place, and turned on the air purifier. Installing/replacing the filter is very easy. It has 5 fan speeds. It's very quiet, but at fan speed #5 it gets a bit loud, but not annoying. Speed #5 also moves a lot of air through the device, so that's to be expected. The display shows air readings, which is a great feature. It has a 24 hour setting so you can set it to run from 1 to 24 hours in 1 hour increments. There is an automatic mode and a UV lamp. The easy-to-use display also has a child lock. I used fan speed #3. It's quiet, but filters a lot of air. My allergies are much better. This is an excellent air purifier.
