Review on 📸 Pentax Optio WG-2 Kit: Durable Waterproof Camera for Outdoor Enthusiasts by Sharon Jenson

My rating of this camera is based on one photographer's experience with thousands of dollars worth of cameras and equipment! As a disclaimer; The cost of my gear doesn't make me a good photographer. However, I will say that I wouldn't invest so much money in my gear if I didn't have success with it. The Pentax Optio WG-2 Black Digital Camera is an excellent camera in the Point and Shooting category. It's extremely versatile. I originally bought the much more expensive Nikon AW110 from a large retailer, but sent it back after two weeks of use. The WG-2 has almost all the features that the AW110 has, except for GPS and some manufacturer specs, but at a much higher price. The photos are sharp and what I expect from this camera category. Waterproof and underwater ability is great! I've seen several reviews of the sling and carabiner as a scam. However, I personally like it compared to other brands' options. The only negative I can find is the battery compartment. Which really can't be a minus point, since I haven't had any problems with it so far. But it feels loose and appears to have an increased potential for water ingress into the camera body. However, this did not happen and only time will tell. That being said, if I had to buy another camera today, this would be first on the list. I recommend this camera. PS microscope mode is AWESOME! This is one of the most impressive features of this camera.
