Very versatile - in addition to the standard voltages in volts, ohms and amps, it can measure capacitors, diodes and, my favorite, batteries. It's important to know what the "Select" button does, which changes for each selection on the jog dial. For example, you need to switch between DC and AC voltage with the selection button. Some of my other multimeters have a specific position for AC or DC voltage, so at first I assumed this one would auto-detect it. But that's not the case β if you want to measure AC current, you have to press the select button first. I also love the alligator clips that come with this gauge. They can be very useful when I'm measuring anything on my model railroad. Electronics are one of my favorite aspects of model railroading and a welcome and useful addition to my toolbox.
