• SUMMARY This is an excellent entry-level polisher for anyone wanting to learn how to improve coloring and make basic corrections, or for a mobile artist on a budget add a compact polisher to their arsenal. It's light, relatively quiet, well balanced and with minimal vibration. (Actually, I'm quite surprised!) The build quality and materials appear to be solid, and the finishing and casting are of good quality. The on/off button is a bit flimsy, but you can use it. The speed dial on the back of the device (preferably with an on/off button) is a continuous rotation rather than a click-sensitive wheel to confirm your setting choices; which is more subjective and more of a preference than a pro/con function. A 10ft cord slung over your shoulder will do, but you need to make sure your extension connection is securely fastened to avoid pulling out. The handle under the platypus' head is comfortable and made of hard plastic. Rubber would be better but you have to keep in mind that you are not paying for a high end tool so don't expect high quality workmanship. 6. The pads are also not labeled or given any indication of their intended state. Most pad manufacturers follow a "standard" color code (if "standard" even applies to the world of auto detailing, lol), but you never know with lesser-known brands like this. In any case I would recommend getting Lake Country, HEX Logic or similar pads for the best quality. • BASE PLATE. You can also add a 5 inch base plate to this unit to further reduce vibration. 3" baseplate and pads for tighter spaces and headlights/taillights. • BLOW Remember that it has about 8mm of travel so you'll have to be patient as you won't be able to cover as much surface area as quickly as 15mm or 21mm travel • GENERAL With the right combination of pads and polish, this little block does great bang for the buck.
