Review on SpareHand Universal Bike Frame Adapter by David Vargas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than Yakima best in my review

I had a Yakima adapter for several years, for my wife's bike. It is solid, but the end clips are very hard to open. It is better than nothing, but far from satisfactory. I got the Stoneman adapter for a new bike of mine that needed one. It is so much better that I bought a second one to replace the old Yakima, even though it still works. I'll give the Yakima to someone who needs something that is better than nothing. It will be years before I know if it is as sturdy as the Yakima, but it looks sturdy. If you are deciding between them, I recommend the Stoneman.FYI: My wife's bike is a standard size mountain bike for a woman, with 26 inch wheels. Mine has a large frame and 29 inch wheels. Both adapters work with both bikes.

Pros
  • The durable straps ensure that your bike is firmly secured and won't wobble or sway during transit, preventing any damage or accidents
Cons
  • Can make it difficult to mount or dismount from your bike
