LiFePO4 batteries came with no instructions. The manual says to connect the battery first. What it doesn't say, however, is that you have to plug the charger into an outlet to select battery mode and have 30 seconds. To select the battery type or repair mode for lead-acid batteries. So if you want to charge LiFePO4 or change the mode, you need to plug the charger into the wall socket, then select the mode, and then connect the red wire and then the black wire. The second point of criticism is the charging time of my new 12 volt LiFePO4 battery at 12 Ah. It's been on the charger for at least a few hours. So by no means "fast" charger. So don't expect fast-charging LiFePO4 batteries. It's good that it charges very well, does not heat up. The fan is under load, but cools well. After loading, it turned off.
