You need at least 1000 joules of protection for sensitive equipment like laptops, printers and A/V equipment and this surge protector provides just that. It's a clean device that simply is to be installed and completely covers the duplex wall socket. It comes with a 3 year warranty while most others only have a 1-2 year warranty. LED indicators are easily visible and show that all devices connected to the surge protector are grounded and protected. With 6 outlets that could be better placed to allow for larger adapters and two USB ports, this surge protector is more than adequate for most users. I prefer a line filter with a clamping voltage of 400V or less; this has a clamping voltage of 500V. I'd also prefer a surge protector that comes with a warranty on some connected devices, but it doesn't; there is not even a secondary insurance cover. All in all, it's still a pretty decent surge protector.
