The width is ok for my wide height 9.5ft (I can also wear size 9 shoes from many brands) but they are sooooo hard to put on like The tongue doesn't come off, it's a one-piece piece with an elastic band that stretches and wraps around the ankle, but the opening is too small to easily fit a wide foot. But there is no extra ankle support, it just makes them very difficult to put on! They come off a little easier as you can put a foot on the protruding heel sole and pull your foot out, but they're still harder than they should be. But they are very comfortable once you put them on. They will be returned and I will not buy them again.
