Pretty but breaks easily

This swift is beautiful to look at. I got it as a gift and fell in love with it immediately. I was only able to use it 3 times before the tension knob broke completely and the Swift could no longer be tightened enough to hold the yarn while winding. This is nice to look at, but doesn't work at all for every type of strand winding. I am very sad!
