Edit: Approved by Cat. As you can imagine, pulling a long cord gets quite a bit of feline attention, which is why I had to order this one. They keep hitting and chewing on him and he's like new. As soon as I received this cable, I unwound and tested it. The webbing keeps it from getting tangled or shrinking even if I just tried to shake it and pull it out, so I expect them to last. I'm not against being overweight. The sound quality is superb, I can't tell any difference switching back and forth compared to just a 4" cable, although I'm not a music lover. No hum or hiss or volume reduction as much as you can after a long unshielded one ask cable.
