This case is built to last. It's bulky, the screen protector feels cheap and weird, I don't like the rubbery texture but I can ignore it because judging by all the various videos and reviews it's a drop proof phone case and my iPhone isn't insured. I've dropped my phone on the pavement a couple of times and there hasn't been a scratch on the case. Still 3 stars. In this case, my beef is the touchscreen. Sometimes your "touch" may not interact well with the sensors. If you have a plus-size phone like me, trying to use your phone with one hand is probably more annoying. Update: My iPhone 8 Plus is fairly waterproof. Maybe that's why the Defender phone case isn't waterproof. I keep walking into water that seeps in between the screen and screen protector and ruins the touchscreen. Simple operation might be doable with a small amount of water between the screen and the protective film, but something like texting is impossible in my opinion. The Defender is an affordable case and I'm sure it has a lot to do with the price, I get that. My colleague with the same phone and case actually cut off the screen protector and replaced it with a glued screen protector. I think this is a way around this problem.
