Worked great on my 2 Ford Ranger. Initially the truck idled well and held its speed fairly well, but as soon as you accelerate or go uphill the engine starts and dies. I thought I was chasing a fuel problem. Pulled out the coil, and cracks are visible on it. I don't know how it went. Took one off the other truck to swap out and test and acceleration was smooth! Ordered this genuine part and the truck ran great. THEN I went to put my "test" spool back on the second truck, examined it carefully and saw cracks too! Replaced that one too and suddenly the motor woke up which I thought was working fine! Now it works fine! Highly recommended!
