Easy to dent. Flimsy. Not stable in light wind

It’s pretty. I can’t seem to get the ropes to pull back the cover so it’s staying as a full cover for now. It’s an aluminum frame so it’s very easy to dent. It came with dents and crushed corners. I was able to use pliers to bend the corners back enough to fit the pieces together but it was a a pain and time consuming. Also I had to use a rubber mallet to get the top corner caps in. It’s very flimsy. The slightest wind shakes this pergola. On the directions it says if it’s windy to pull the cover back or to disassemble the pergola. Yes it actually tells you to disassemble it for windy days. That would take forever to keep putting it back together and taking it down. I live in Florida and we have wind on the regular here. Putting it together wasn’t easy but wasn’t too difficult. You just need to double check you’re placing the right parts together. They look the same but are labeled with letters to help. I don’t expect this to last more than a season or two at most. It’s good for a temporary situation but I’ll get a steel pergola next time. My last one was steel and very sturdy but rusted in five years. Also I contacted customer service to get one post replaced that arrived dented, and never heard back. So I just used the pliers and mallet to improve the dents.
