Review on Brother PT 65 P Touch Labeler Screen by Adam Matthews

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good block while it lasts.

Bought two of these devices. One was given to my wife's younger brother who died within a year of taking it from the blister pack. Moisture dependent? The other worked fine for a few years, and then I stopped using it for a few years after the novelty wore off. (In hindsight, I should have let my wife's little brother play with it and waste some tape every now and then.) As soon as it became necessary to use it again, I installed new batteries just to let it power up properly for about 2 minutes seconds. . After that, the display stopped working for him and he stopped working. It was definitely out of warranty, so I disassembled it and couldn't find the cause. It's a pity he died (of a long downtime?) because I bought half a dozen tapes for him. Of course, my only economical option was to trade it in for a newer model that now uses different tapes.

Pros
  • Resolution 200 dpi
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
