I use this filter in my old Brita jug. Water straight from my tap has a pH of 7.2. Water with a Wamery alkaline filter has a pH of 8.4-9.0. I wasn't sure about alkaline water and thought it was an ad, but I have to admit that I feel a lot better since I started drinking alkaline water. I tested my normal pH (urine) and it turned out to be very acidic at 5.2 which is not good. I understand that the body adjusts quickly to a neutral pH, but I feel that alkaline water also helps keep the body balanced. I've had double filtration since I use an alkaline apex filter attached to my faucet, but the water from the APEX filter is just over 7.2 straight out of my faucet. Wamery filters slowly but I fill several bottles at a time and refill the jug. Slow filtration is probably beneficial to the water filtration process. I really like Wamery products and ordered a pitcher and filter for my friend. My niece swears the water tastes good. I can also order a jug of vamery for her.
