I have an Amped SR10000 power strip. When you set it up, the software will show you the available routers and their relative signal strength. The router I was interested in had a 67% rating. I removed the two antennas that came with the extension and attached the new antennas using the stand and coax cable. I restored the setting and this time the router I was interested in showed a signal strength of 59%. 8 percentage points less than the antennas supplied with the extension. I thought it might be due to the loss of the coax cable connecting the antennas. I reattached the new antennas directly to the back of the extension and the signal level has increased by 61%. I see that they will not help me. get me an extension cord. The device comes very well packaged and looks very nice, but that's where it ends. It's sad they couldn't spend more time designing and less time packaging. I will return them. Jim Gilliam
