ALWAYS fill two tubes with water first. Otherwise it doesn't work. Love it! I ordered it after seeing the Ponyo movie. This is a fairly accurate replica of the toy steamer seen in the movie. Judging by the video, it works. The trick is to position the candle like in my photo. I was different and not so much. long. The toy is made of pressed sheet metal with a colored lithographic pattern. It is fragile in construction but is said to last for several years. And it's a lot of fun. The instructions were poor but when I emailed the company they sent better instructions.
