Drivers for this device will NOT be installed despite using driver 3.2 which everyone recommends. I still get an error code 10 when installing the 3.2 driver, which means Windows will NOT even let me install the correct driver. I highly recommend you save yourself the frustration and just get a BTECH cable. It's more expensive, but saves you a headache. EDIT: After a recent attempt to try a different device, I found that this cable is NOT using the Prolific chipset. Instead, it uses a WCH CH340/341 chip and works with the latest version of these drivers from Miklor. I suspect the problem is what type of chip you get when you buy this cable. Eventually I was able to get it working. I'm still rating this item 1 star because the seller didn't specify what the device was. If I were to use an FTDI based cable it would save me hours. So if you try to install the Prolific 3.2 driver and it STILL doesn't work, try the WCH CH340/341 drivers instead. That's what you get when you try to save a few bucks.
