Bought both the Poetic and OtterBox Defender for the new Galaxy A50 phones my wife and I got. I liked the Poetic because of the kickstand, lower price point, and slimmer profile so I gave the OtterBox to my wife. I have dropped my new phone on concrete a few times from 4 -5 feet up with no issues or breakage of the case or phone. Being familiar with OtterBox's excellent protective capabilities on my previous phone, I would say that Poetic protects just as well and is much less expensive. I tend to keep phones for several years --last phone was Galaxy S4 -- and like to protect the investment.The kickstand is extremely useful for conference/video calls or watching other online content and works in portrait and landscape mode. Also, can be used as tripod for selfies and group shots. I can recommend this case for rugged protection and function of your phone.
