No detailed instructions at first. That's pretty pathetic for the amount of money you're spending here. Your Astro website is terrible for finding the information you are looking for. I finally gave up after wasting 30 minutes. It would be nice if they had a detailed instructional video to take full advantage of this product. For advanced settings, you basically have to figure everything out yourself. Microphone - picks up all background noise. Picks up my fan not even close to the mic and also my breath. It gets so annoying trying to enjoy quality sound when annoying noise is in the way. My 2015 Astro A40 never had this problem. It's like they're forcing you to buy a $60 microphone set. Friends say I sound good, but I hear my fan. Headset Audio - Sometimes sounds amazing, sometimes sounds like a low-budget headset, and sometimes gets too loud during intense activities. For example, it's not well balanced or doesn't process the sound properly through the mixamp. He picks up the humming noise from the microphones of some of his friends. Gets annoying trying to play the game and hearing the buzz when a friend is talking. Other friends' mics sound great and crystal clear. This headset will take a long time to get the right sound. Each factor can be a plus or minus quality. It's also quite disappointing that this headset doesn't sound any different than my old 2015 A40 model. Such disappointment. I wish the headband was more comfortable. Its very basic comfort. I have a big head, maybe that could be the reason. The Astro Command Center is a bit difficult to understand because there are no instructions, but I'm pretty tech savvy so I figured it out in 8 minutes. Had to google "best EQ settings for 2019 Astro A40" to find help on this. I'm glad he wasn't annoying and did his job well. Music - distorts some songs terribly. The pickups strangely messed up the sound on some songs. Things I've never heard before. It just ruins the songs. You have to constantly fiddle with the mixer to get the song just right. It's a shame, they lowered the price and decided not to add an AUX cable like before to connect an MP3 player. And I wish they added a stream cable connection too. For the high price you pay this screwed everything up, it's not included. In general - I've been waiting for her for 4 years and it was a big disappointment. It's good. You can adjust the equalizer settings and buy an upgrade kit. The sound quality is great but the microphone ruins everything. You will mainly like it when playing and/or streaming single player games. Not very suitable for multiplayer games. No sound improvement over my 2015 model. I feel like my 2015 model is much better than this one. Constantly experimenting to see what is perfect/good enough. I say keep looking for something better. This headset should be way better for what you pay here. Instead of annoying headaches.
