Cool headphones!

I bought these for my husband for Christmas ๐ŸŽ„. He is an avid gamer and has had many different headphones and says these are the best he has ever used. Crystal clear and you can hear every step! Happy husband ๐Ÿ˜Š

Complete bullshit in accessories

First, the PS4 requires an optical equalizer to use it (so it requires a PS4 Pro), although this isn't explicitly mentioned anywhere. Then the microphone just dies in the middle of the game. Just stop. No reconnects/reboots/etc. is working. Complete nonsense. Save money for something else

Great for PC but not consoles

Let me start by saying that I would recommend saving your money if you are looking for a PS4 only headset. I plugged them into my PS4 and the sound was very weak even at max volume, launched Black Ops 4, couldn't hear simple in-game things like speech and reloads, there were footsteps everywhere. Switched to PC where I could easily tweak the Mix Amp Pro settings and immediately sounded much better. I saved my settings to my mixer amp and plugged it back into my console but it still wasn't theโ€ฆ

Insane sound quality with not so good mic with bypass

everything (very basic btw) my friends mentioned that I was very quiet no matter how close the mic was to my mouth; However, we use Discord for PC talks and all they did was turn up the volume on my chat on purpose and there was no problem. Apart from that, the sound quality is insane. I play a lot of FPS and when using a quality headset the day/night difference between this headset and some $100 turtle beaches was still huge, the amount of sound and directional accuracy I got from the A40s can

Big upgrade of my old Razer Tiamat

I've been using Razer Tiamat 7.1 since 2013. I really liked them. However, they never got good reviews for music and did a good job with positional audio in games. Since games were their primary function, they served me well and I could hear footsteps very easily. Now that I've upgraded to the A40, the sound is much better. The open-back headphones made the sound so much better, they sound clear and exceeded all of my expectations. I use the optical cable output on the HT Omega Claro II toโ€ฆ

I've been a Turtle Beach fan since about 2010. I ordered the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 and was very disappointed that game volume and chat volume are not separated. I returned them and then thought about buying a Stealth 700, which apparently I did until a friend recommended this Astro headset. It's not wireless and if you pay more you can get it that way. But I figured I could use a wired connection with my setup. The sound is excellent. Very convenient. The blender works fine. Game and chatโ€ฆ

Amazing headphones - PlayStation 4

I used an Audio Technica M50x for gaming and they were very good headphones. After switching to true gaming headphones, it's been day and night. I was just blown away by how convenient and practical this thing is. Initially, the size of the on-ear cups seems awfully roomy, but you adjust quickly, and that's great. I really like being able to turn the microphone on and off at any time with the cable switch, which makes the headphones very convenient. The mixer amp is great for volume controlโ€ฆ

UPDATE VERY IMPORTANT - yes. All of the points below are true - I was unable to contact customer service and was very disappointed. HOWEVER turns out I didn't pull the mic out as far as I should because these headphones are expensive and I didn't want to break them. Turns out I had to pull the mic out hard. who knew. Now they are great and I use them every day for work and love them. PLEASE NOTE - no customer support. I just bought a wired ASTRO Gaming A40 TR + MixAmp Pro TR headset for myโ€ฆ

ASTRO is basically like "Here is a headset, find out "

No detailed instructions at first. That's pretty pathetic for the amount of money you're spending here. Your Astro website is terrible for finding the information you are looking for. I finally gave up after wasting 30 minutes. It would be nice if they had a detailed instructional video to take full advantage of this product. For advanced settings, you basically have to figure everything out yourself. Microphone - picks up all background noise. Picks up my fan not even close to the mic and also
